People will become aware of accessibility when they see how many people are concerned or affected by lack of accessibility.  I believe we all have a personal story about accessibility… something that was more difficult than you thought necessary is an accessibility issue.  Someplace you wanted to go but could not go… because of a physical, financial or other issue is an accessibility issue.
